SoftwareOne is a global leader in cloud and software services. We’re hiring a Data Analytics Associate to deliver Power BI and business intelligence solutions, helping customers build long-term analytics capability and achieve data-driven transformation.
The Role
- Design and deliver Power BI reports, dashboards, and semantic models to support business decision-making.
- Work with customers to gather requirements, translate needs into analytics solutions, and define KPI frameworks.
- Develop and optimize data models and queries using DAX and SQL, ensuring performance and usability.
- Support end-to-end BI delivery, including solution planning, implementation, testing, documentation, and user training.
- Provide technical support and continuous improvement for BI solutions, proactively identifying and resolving issues.
- Collaborate with sales and delivery teams to support proposals, workshops, and customer success initiatives.
What we need to see from you
What We Need to See from You
- Hands-on experience with Power BI, including dashboard/report design, data modeling, and publishing/permission management.
- Practical knowledge of DAX and SQL for building measures, optimizing models, and enabling reliable reporting.
- Familiarity with common BI/data concepts (ETL/ELT, star schema, data quality, KPI definitions) and tools (e.g., Tableau is a plus).
- Exposure to cloud data platforms and services (e.g., Azure, data warehouses/lakes) and integrating multiple data sources.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain insights and technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Proactive, detail-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a customer-facing environment.
Preferred Skills / Certifications:
- Microsoft certifications such as PL-300 (Power BI Data Analyst) or AZ-900 are a plus.
- Experience with Power Platform (Power Automate / Power Apps) to extend BI workflows.
- Familiarity with data warehousing and governance concepts.
