As our new Account Manager – Channel Sales, you will drive growth across our channel business by developing existing partners, acquiring new ones, and enabling their success through strategic guidance, sales support, and Microsoft-focused growth initiatives. With a results-driven mindset, you will own and execute channel account plans, manage opportunities throughout the entire sales cycle, support partners in building pipelines, and focus on closing strategic deals. As a trusted advisor, you will leverage SoftwareOne’s portfolio and your Microsoft expertise to enable partner success, helping partners and their customers accelerate innovation, modernization, optimization, digital transformation, and the adoption of cloud and AI solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer & Partner Development: Build and strengthen long-term relationships with existing partners, driving sustainable growth through technology solutions and strategic engagement
- New Business Acquisition: Identify, recruit, and onboard new partners to expand SoftwareOne’s channel ecosystem and grow market presence
- Pipeline & Deal Support: Work closely with partners to develop and manage their sales pipeline, providing guidance, resources, and joint sales support to help them progress and successfully close strategic opportunities
- Collaboration: Partner with internal teams, stakeholders, and industry experts to deliver successful outcomes, drive partner enablement, and achieve shared business goals
- Channel Strategy & Business Planning: Develop and execute joint business plans with strategic partners, aligning growth objectives, Microsoft programs, go-to-market initiatives, and revenue targets to accelerate mutual success
- Partner Enablement: Drive partner enablement through training, sales readiness, and adoption of Microsoft incentives, funding programs, and tools, ensuring partners have the capabilities needed to grow their Microsoft business
What we need to see from you
- Experience in Microsoft partner sales and channel development
- Proven track record in positioning, selling, and commercializing Microsoft solutions, including Azure, Microsoft 365, Security, and Copilot, through channel partners
- Good understanding of CSP, licensing, and cloud consumption business models
- Ability to build, nurture, and grow strategic partner relationships that drive long-term business value
- Knowledge of Microsoft partner programs, incentives, and funding mechanisms
- Commercial mindset with the ability to identify new growth opportunities and develop business plans through the partner ecosystem
- Stakeholder management, negotiation, and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across multiple levels and functions
