Role Summary In this role, the Staff LiDAR System Engineer will evaluate and develop automotive LiDAR technologies and products to support Rivian’s autonomy platform and features for future products. The LiDAR system engineer would have a comprehensive understanding of LiDAR technologies, key aspects of LiDAR system design, characterization, validation and related data analysis and programming. Responsibilities Collaborate with internal architecture, hardware and software teams to drive the specifications of autonomy LiDARs. Evaluate and characterize LiDAR technologies and products to support Rivian’s autonomy products Define and work on prototype modules/samples and perform lab/field tests to validate LiDAR module performance against the specifications Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet system level targets Qualifications MS or Ph.D degree…
