from Rapid7 careersRapid7 is looking to recruit an Accounting Manager who will be responsible for the accounting of our International subsidiaries, as well as play a pivotal role in supporting the International Controller to scale and implement best-in-class operational processes to maximize the efficiency of the general ledger accounting team.
About the Team
The general ledger accounting team manages the global month-end close and consolidation process. This primarily includes recording journal entries, performing account reconciliations, and reviewing flux analysis, as well as working cross-functionally with teams across the business.
About the Role
As an Accounting Manager, your primary responsibility will be to manage the monthly close process across the International subsidiaries ensuring compliance with US GAAP as well as Sarbanes-Oxley. This role will play a pivotal role in supporting the International Accounting Controller to scale and implement best-in-class operational processes to maximize the efficiency of the general ledger accounting team.
The ideal candidate will have a background in the software industry, project management, strong operations experience, and technical accounting knowledge, as well as the ability to support all aspects of general ledger and month-end close processes. The position will be required to work cross-functionally, especially with Tax, Treasury, Legal, and People Strategy departments on various compliance needs. As an Accounting Manager you will be responsible for interpreting technical accounting rules and applying them in practice.
