Your role and responsibilities
As an Industry Consultant you will serve as a client-facing practitioner who sells, leads and implements expert services utilizing the breadth of IBM's offerings and technologies. A successful Consultant is regarded by clients as a trusted business advisor who collaborates to provide innovative solutions used to solve the most challenging business problems.
You will work on projects that help clients integrate strategy, process, technology, and information to increase effectiveness, reduce costs and improve profit and shareholder value. You can take advantage of opportunities to master new skills, work across different disciplines, move into new challenges and develop a robust understanding of different industries.
Required technical and professional expertise
1.Relevant Professional Experience in the Financial Services Industry
•Proven consulting experience in the financial industry, covering various domains such as business strategy, transformation, data analysis, and IT solutions, preferably at a consulting firm.
•Hands-on experience in IT vendor or systems integrator (SIer) roles, managing and driving IT solution projects for the financial sector.
•Expertise in business planning, transformation, or strategic reform within the IT or corporate planning departments of financial institutions, including banks
•Experience in digital asset and Web3–related domains (e.g., crypto-asset exchange businesses), encompassing both practical involvement and participation in business design, including operations, security frameworks, and regulatory or compliance-related considerations.
2. Fluent Japanese language proficiency (JLPT N1 or equivalent).
Preferred technical and professional experience
•Proven experience in managing large-scale projects for financial institutions, ensuring timely delivery and quality outcomes.
•Extensive involvement in mission-critical system projects for financial institutions, covering all phases from requirements definition through development, testing, and final implementation.
•Experience leading or participating in international projects for financial institutions, ensuring seamless coordination across regions.
•Experience leading and hands-on contributing to AI adoption projects for financial institutions, including conceptual planning, solution design, and implementation, as well as stakeholder coordination to integrate AI initiatives into existing systems and operations.
•Experience delivering cybersecurity-related projects for financial institutions, addressing risk management, regulatory requirements, and secure system design.
•Practical experience in digital asset and Web3–related projects for financial institutions, with hands-on involvement in areas such as system design, implementation, operations, and evaluation of related technologies and use cases.
