Your role and responsibilities
IBM’s cybersecurity business provides end-to-end support, covering everything from security consulting to the design and implementation of products and services, as well as SOC monitoring. Through these capabilities, IBM helps protect client environments from cyberattacks, detect threats, respond to incidents, and ensure compliance.
The position currently being recruited focuses primarily on the design and implementation of products and services. This role involves designing and building clients’ security infrastructures and contributing to strengthening their overall security posture. In addition to IBM’s own security products, we also implement and operate third-party security solutions for our clients. We are therefore seeking candidates with expertise in areas such as network security, identity management, and privileged access management. As part of IBM Security’s global organization, we are also actively advancing initiatives in AI-driven analytics and security automation, offering ample opportunities to work with cutting-edge technologies.
In our security organization, approximately half of the members are mid-career hires, creating an environment where individuals from diverse backgrounds can collaborate, learn from one another, and grow together.
Required technical and professional expertise
Understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, VPN, firewalls, proxies, DNS, etc.)
Basic operational knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux) and understanding of security configurations
Security knowledge in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.)
Hands-on experience in designing and building at least one of the following:
- Identity and Access Management (IAM)
- Privileged Access Management (PAM)
- Microsegmentation
- Secure Access Service Edge (SASE)
Preferred technical and professional experience
Proficiency in English communication
Project management skills
Ability to manage client negotiations and stakeholder communication in consulting engagements
