from Fortinet careersThe Wireless Development Quality Assurance Engineer works within the R&D team to ensure the productivity, reliability, and accuracy of the Fortinet's WLAN product. In general, testing is to cover various features combinations integrated with various Fortinet products, in a way most customer would be deploying their real-time production networks; with real-clients and traffic. Also to test Interoperability between Fortinet-devices and 3rd party devices or clients. The QA Engineer must be able to collaborate with the team and work efficiently and effectively, in a fast-paced work environment, to identify the highest risks that must be addressed for determining release readiness.
Job Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and execute detailed test plans (functional, regression, performance).
- Build complex testbeds integrating multiple Fortinet and third-party devices.
- Perform interoperability testing (Fortinet + 3rd-party devices/clients).
- Analyze customer-reported issues, review logs, replicate defects in lab, validate fixes.
- Identify, isolate, document, and track bugs through resolution.
- Produce accurate QA reports on time.
- Build and maintain test infrastructure for feature validation and defect reproduction.
- Perform root cause analysis and collaborate with developers on debugging.
Job Requirements:
- 3–6+ years of wireless QA experience.
- Strong understanding of QA methodologies (test plans, bug tracking, failure documentation).
- Networking and Wi-Fi protocol knowledge:
- 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax/be
