What you'll do
Join a fast‑paced team within Viasat’s Government Space and Advanced Technologies group as a Mid‑Level Systems Engineer. In this role, you will:
- Support system‑level build and analysis for communication and sensing systems.
- Contribute to algorithm development for signal processing, control theory, and system optimization.
- Assist with waveform develop and performance evaluation.
- Collaborate alongside teams in systems engineering, firmware, software, and integration & test.
The day-to-day
- Translate mission needs into technical requirements and engineering solutions.
- Implement and test algorithms in firmware or software under mentorship from senior team members.
- Participate in integration and system bring‑up activities.
- Work with analysis and requirements teams to maintain build consistency.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field; Master’s preferred.
- With a Master's degree or comparable experience, have 3-5 years working on system building, modeling, or algorithm development. Or, possess 5-7 years of applying these skills with a Bachelor’s degree or similar background.
