What you'll do
We are seeking an experienced Senior Power Electronics Engineer to provide critical technical ownership and continuity for power electronics architecture, design, and qualification following the retirement of a key subject matter expert. This P5‑level role is essential to sustaining and advancing power supply capability that underpins Gemini payload reliability and overall program success.
This position serves as a senior individual contributor and technical authority, working on complex and high‑impact power electronics hardware across flight payloads, spacecraft subsystems, and supporting ground systems. The role requires independent judgment, end‑to‑end ownership, and close collaboration with multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver reliable, high‑performance hardware in a harsh space environment.
The day-to-day
- Provide senior‑level engineering leadership in the architecture, design, analysis, and testing of power converters for harsh and high‑reliability environments
- Own power electronics system and sub‑system design trades, requirements definition, and technical decision‑making with minimal supervision
