Job Purpose The Downstream Planner is responsible for translating demand signals into executable distribution and replenishment plans to ensure optimal product availability across warehouses, distribution centers, and customer locations. The role focuses on balancing service levels, inventory, and logistics efficiency while coordinating closely with demand planning, manufacturing, logistics, and sales teams. Key Responsibilities Planning Replenishment Develop and execute downstream replenishment plans for finished goods across regional warehouses, DCs, and customer fulfillment points. Convert demand plans and sales forecasts into distribution requirements and stock transfer orders (STOs). Maintain optimal inventory levels by managing safety stock, reorder points, and replenishment frequencies. Inventory Management Monitor inventory health (excess, slow-moving, obsolete, and shortage risks) across the distribution network. Drive actions to reduce excess and prevent stockouts while meeting agreed service level targets. Support inventory optimization initiatives across multi-echelon supply chains. Execution Coordination Coordinate with manufacturing planning to align production output with downstream requirements. Work closely with logistics, warehousing, and customer service teams to ensure timely and accurate deliveries. Manage allocation and prioritization during constrained supply situations. Performance Analytics Track and analyze KPIs such as service level (OTIF), inventory turns, days of inventory, and forecast adherence.
