Job description
from Schneider Electric careersJob Summary: At Schneider Electric, we believe access to energy and digital solutions is a basic human right. As part of our DCS 3‑Phase Productivity team, you will contribute to developing reliable, efficient, and sustainable power conversion systems for mission‑critical applications. We are looking for a highly skilled Power Electronics Engineer with experience in high‑power conversion, validation, and system performance optimization for 3‑phase UPS products for QVE. Key Responsibilities: Lead design, simulation, and validation activities for high‑power conversion stages including DC‑DC, AC‑DC, and DC‑AC systems. Perform testing and verification of high‑voltage, high‑power converters (DC‑DC, UPS power stages) to ensure performance, robustness, and compliance. Support adaptation and validation of key UPS subsystems such as IGBT-based rectifiers, inverters, DC bus systems, static bypass circuits, filters, and magnetics. Conduct in‑depth analysis including component stress evaluation, thermal analysis, EMI/EMC assessment, and derating studies. Drive design-to-cost initiatives by optimizing components, identifying alternate suppliers, and enabling VA/VE improvements. Ensure compliance with global standards (UL, CE, IEC) and support EMC, safety, and environmental qualification.
