from Rackspace careersRole Overview: Rackspace is seeking a Network Security Engineer IV. In this role you’ll be a key element within the Rackspace support infrastructure team. You’ll provide a high level of technical support to our customers. Technical issues can include troubleshooting customer network environments including firewall configurations, VPN technologies and access-control lists, VIP configurations, TCL (iRule) and Perl scripts, layer 4 thru 7 issues. You’ll also support many elements of the Rackspace Cloud product portfolio, including RackConnect.
Location/Hours:
· If located near a Rackspace office, you’ll work a hybrid schedule… 2 days in the office and three days remote.
· If not located near an office, you may work 100% remotely.
· 2nd Shift, Mon-Fri, 2pm to 11pm
Key Responsibilities:
· Be the technical point of escalation to the Cloud Support and Engineering teams; resolving customer issues.
· Monitor and provide maintenance for all related infrastructure.
· Ensure the control, integrity, and accessibility of the cloud environment.
· Implements large, complex enterprise-class solutions.
· Lead tasks relating to system architecture enhancements, problem management, fleet.
· Lead Workload/Workforce Management and Optimization related tasks.
· Provide technical expertise underpinning communications targeting a range of stakeholders - from individual contributors to leaders across the business.
