Job description
from Micron careersOur vision is to transform how the world uses information to enrich life for all.
Micron Technology is a world leader in innovating memory and storage solutions that accelerate the transformation of information into intelligence, inspiring the world to learn, communicate and advance faster than ever.
The Data Center Workload Engineering (DCWE) team connects real data center workloads to Micron’s future memory and storage products. We work at the intersection of systems, data, and architecture, generating the insights that guide long‑term product decisions. We value diverse viewpoints, deep technical thinking, and curiosity about how large-scale systems actually run.
This role is central to how Micron shapes next-generation SSDs for hyperscale and AI-driven data centers. You will turn real workload data and system knowledge into models that influence product direction at the highest levels. It’s a hands-on, high-visibility position with direct impact and close collaboration across engineering, architecture, and business teams.
Responsibilities:
Design, build, and operate a data center-scale logical model to evaluate future SSD product scenarios
Integrate workload data, telemetry, and benchmarks into performance, power, and cost projections
Model hyperscaler tradeoffs across compute, memory, storage, and interconnects to identify Micron differentiation
Analyze AI cloud architectures and quantify the impact of Micron component choices
