Job description
from Marqeta careersAs Marqeta's Manager, Software Engineering within our Risk, Fraud and Disputes pod, you will lead the design, development, and execution of our Identity Platform. You will be responsible for building and operating systems that manage the full KYC lifecycle, from Customer Identification Program (CIP) verification at account opening (name, DOB, address, ID validation) to ongoing Customer Due Diligence (CDD) and continuous risk monitoring, as well as KYB, sanction screening, and Red Flag rules under the AML/BSA umbrella. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who is AI-first, takes full ownership of outcomes, and is comfortable engaging directly with enterprise customers and regulators to resolve complex identity and compliance scenarios.
We work Flexible First. This role can be performed remotely anywhere within Ontario or British Columbia, Canada. We’d love for you to join us! This position is for an existing vacancy.
The Impact You’ll Have
- Own the end-to-end identity verification lifecycle, from one-time CIP checks at account opening through ongoing CDD and continuous customer risk monitoring, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and regulatory compliance at every stage.
- Build and operate systems that enforce KYC obligations across the full framework: identity verification (CIP), risk-based due diligence (CDD), and event-driven re-verification as customer risk profiles evolve.
