Job description
from LaunchDarkly careersAbout the Job:
LaunchDarkly is seeking a Senior SEO & GEO Marketing Manager to own and drive our organic discoverability strategy across traditional search and AI-powered discovery platforms. This role is responsible for how developer and technical audiences find, research, and engage with LaunchDarkly’s products and content—whether through search engines, AI-generated answers, or emerging coding agent experiences.
This is a senior individual contributor role on the Digital Marketing team, reporting to the Director of Digital Demand Generation. You will set the strategy for SEO and GEO (Generative Engine Optimization), manage execution across agency partners, freelance contributors, and internal stakeholders, and connect organic performance directly to inbound pipeline. The right candidate combines deep SEO knowledge, a strong point of view on how AI is reshaping content discovery, and the project management instincts to keep complex, cross-functional programs on track.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the execution and evolution of LaunchDarkly’s SEO and GEO strategy, improving discoverability, traffic quality, and inbound pipeline across search engines and large language model platforms such as ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, and AI coding agents.
- Build and maintain a strategic roadmap for organic growth spanning content strategy, on-page optimization, site structure, link and citation building, and AI discovery.
- Lead content and optimization workflows end-to-end—from identifying opportunities and developing briefs through publication, measurement, and iteration—coordinating across agency partners, freelance writers, and internal teams.
