As the Technical Project Manager (Implementation Consultant), you will serve Instructure’s customers by fulfilling both project management and technical consultation responsibilities.
Summary of Role
This position combines project management and technical consulting for software implementation projects, particularly SaaS platforms. The role ensures that projects are delivered efficiently, on time, and meet client expectations while providing expert
guidance on system integrations, configurations, and data migrations.
Core Project Management Responsibilities
Initiation & Planning: Gather requirements, define roles and responsibilities, develop project charters, schedules, communication plans, and risk mitigation strategies.
Execution: Oversee project delivery, manage stakeholder expectations, allocate resources, coordinate third parties, and control scope, schedule, and cost changes.
Monitoring & Controlling: Track performance against time and budget, report progress to internal and external stakeholders, and maintain project documentation.
Closure: Obtain client sign-off, finalize documentation, and lead post-project retrospectives for process improvement.
