Responsibilities
- Lead the growth platform ML roadmap for content promotional goals including both watchtime and free feature usage.
- Partner with engineering and data science to develop a ranking function for content promotional goals, using signals like predicted watchtime and conversion rate.
- Partner with over-the-top (OTT) tech and Marketing teams to drive incremental watchtime during livestream and cultural moments.
- Draft principles and guardrails on the types of content promotions we will support.
- Advocate growth platform impact for content promotional goals across YouTube Tech teams.
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience in product management, including taking technical consumer products from conception to launch.
- Experience with A/B testing and experimentation methodologies.
- Experience building Machine Learning (ML) ranking algorithms to drive engagement.
- Experience working cross-functionally with Engineering, UX, and Marketing to deliver platform features.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree in a technology or business related field.
- Experience with digital advertising products or growth marketing technology.
- Experience with Machine Learning (ML) experimentation methodologies.
- Experience delivering technical presentations to executive leadership and securing buy-in for ML-driven product ideas.
- Experience with ads relevance improvement for consumer products.
- Passion for the YouTube ecosystem and an understanding of platform growth levers for both creators and viewers.
