In this role, you will develop and maintain the signals, tools, and infrastructure that help Google evolve to match attackers. You will conduct and guide others in security analysis, risk hunting, and malware and indicator analysis. You will manage malicious activity on Google's networks. You will perform analysis of risks on enterprise, production, and cloud environments.The Core team builds the technical foundation behind Google’s flagship products. Responsibilities

Analyze, investigate, and respond to security alerts.
Research new risk hunting techniques to identify/discover security risks.
Automate workflows and develop solutions to reduce operational toil.
Ensure compliance with legal mandates and internal security and privacy policies.
Manage response efforts for low severity incidents.

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
2 years of experience with security assessments or security design reviews or threat modeling.
Experience with host, network, and cloud security principles and concepts (e.g., common attacker tactics, tools, and techniques (TTPs)).

Preferred qualifications:

Certification in Security+ or similar Cyber Security/Incident Response.
Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) or generative AI to automate repetitive operational tasks.
Experience with threat modeling methodologies.
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage concurrent investigations.
Excellent analytical, investigative, and written and verbal communication skills.
