As a member of Google’s Government Affairs and Public Policy team, you'll be part of a global government affairs team, working across regions, product areas, and functions. You’ll combine creativity and intellectual excellence with the organizational skills to manage various campaigns, projects and initiatives. In this role, you’ll advocate for Google to bring external perspectives back into the company to inform our perception and direction. The Government Affairs and Public Policy (GAPP) APAC Public Affairs team is the tip of the spear, serving as the strategic engine for reputation and trust across a complex region. We play offense by deploying strategic narratives and engagement strategies that proactively define the policy conversation. As the connective tissue between local markets and global strategy, we inform business velocity by linking policy to business decisions. Rejecting copy and paste methods, we prioritize cultural fluency and message versioning, using trusted carriers to reach stakeholders where they are with emotionally resonant content tailored to local nuances. By elevating executive engagement, we learn visual storytelling to build Key Opinion Former (KOF) trust. We operate with an experimental mindset, taking calculated risks with AI and innovation to solve ambiguous issues. We ensure Google’s value is demonstrated creatively and consistently across the APAC business and policy ecosystem.
