This position is a technical management position reporting to the Plant Technical Manager (PTM). The primary focus of this position is to provide leadership in the areas of safety, reliability and maintenance of utility and building maintenance systems; specific areas include ammonia and glycol refrigeration systems, CO2/Nitrogen Bulk Delivery, HVAC, compressed air, boilers, and all Process Safety Managed (PSM) areas.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Lead with safety
- Develop a department strategic plan for facility and utility systems
- Develop and manage parts, services and wage labor budget for facility and utility assets
- Develop and manage training budget for all utility technicians
- Provide leadership in the development and training of new utility technicians on Level Cards
- Provide daily direction setting (DDS) leadership for utility leads and technicians (ENTRY, OPERATIONAL and TECHNICAL)
- Provide leadership to facility/utility planner in utilization of Maintenance Management System (Maximo) to ensure timely and accurate completion of all preventative and corrective maintenance work orders
- Provide plant emergency response leadership as the on-site Hazardous Team Coordinator (HTC) or Incident Commander (IC)
- Provide leadership to the utilities team through safe (simple, intermediate, and complex) pump-downs of the ammonia refrigeration system
