Job description
from Fortinet careersResponsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and resolve tickets opening by other support teams. Work with that support team to gather the needed information to solve the problem raised. Answer virtualization questions that customers raise about deploying Fortinet product in VM/Cloud environments.
- Build test environments. Reproduce customer problems. Test scenarios in order to establish best practices & assess interoperability when deploying Fortinet solutions.
- Keep abreast of new developments and bulletins regarding your primary area of specialization
- Develop best practices
- Identify common virtualization problems encountered at Fortinet and follow up with documentation and/or training to address them
- Identify configuration settings or deployments that are potentially problematic, as well as what settings are important for optimal performance and business continuity.
- Provide input to product management and technical documentation teams
- Develop a methodology for determining whether a technical problem lies primarily with the Fortinet product or with the VM/Cloud environment.
- This role may in the future involve some after-hours on-call support but is not anticipated initially.
Requirements:
- Expert level expertise in 1-2 of the following virtualization technologies:

Hypervisor: VMWare vSphere, KVM, Hyper-V, Citrix Xen
Public Cloud: AWS, Azure, GCP, IBM, OCI, Rackspace
SDN: VMware NSX-T, OpenStack
