Job description
from Fortinet careersWe are looking for a skilled Network Cloud Engineer to design, deploy, and support modern data center and cloud networking environments. The role focuses on building and operating scalable Spine-Leaf EVPN infrastructures and supporting cloud-integrated network services. Experience with Linux, OpenStack, and automation tools is considered a strong asset but not a core requirement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and support Spine-Leaf EVPN data center network architectures.
- Manage and troubleshoot Layer 2/Layer 3 networking, including BGP, VXLAN, and EVPN.
- Support cloud-connected network environments and hybrid infrastructure.
- Monitor network performance, capacity, and availability across environments.
- Perform incident response, root cause analysis, and problem resolution.
- Work with cross-functional teams to support infrastructure deployments and changes.
- Maintain accurate network documentation, diagrams, and operational procedures.
- Follow best practices for security, reliability, and change management.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong networking knowledge (L2/L3, TCP/IP, BGP, VXLAN, EVPN, Spine-Leaf architecture).
- Hands-on experience operating and troubleshooting enterprise or data center networks.
- Experience with cloud networking concepts and hybrid connectivity.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and within a team in a production environment.
Good to Have (Nice to Have):
- Experience with Ansible or Terraform.
- Basic Python scripting skills.
- Familiarity with Git and CI/CD workflows.
- Linux administration experience.
