Fortinet has an exciting opportunity for an experienced SRE Specialist to join our FortiCloud operation team. We are managing the consumer-facing services with high traffic volumes around the world. Service Reliability and Security is our top priority. This is a unique opportunity to join an established team of experienced professionals to work on some of the most innovative technology and network security products on the market. Provide on call support as required

Job Responsibilities 

• Administration experience in Linux (RHEL, CentOS, and Ubuntu) as a server platform. Required experience with Linux operating system itself as well as with production level software and hardware
• Administration experience in virtualized environments like Openstack, Kubernetes, AWS and etc. 
• Monitoring VMs, Docker containers and Kubernetes clusters

• Develop continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines in Jenkins and ArgoCD.

• Administrate and maintain production database clusters like PostgreSQL/CockroachDB including backup, failover, replication, and performance tuning.

• Manage high-availability Redis deployments (Redis Sentinel / Redis Cluster) to ensure low-latency and fault-tolerant caching services.

• Automate system provisioning and application deployment using tools like Ansible, Terraform, and Helm.

• Troubleshooting network routing, switching and performance-related issues

• Diagnosing and resolving issues related to security appliances, servers, Kubernetes deployments, and network infrastructure to maintain operational integrity and security.

• Provide on-call support to the critical services.
  
   

Job Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as a DevOps/SRE

• Experience with monitoring tools, such as Prometheus, Grafana, Zabbix, Nagios.

• Experience with Kubernetes deployment and troubleshooting

• Deep understanding and hands on knowledge on containerization technologies

• Experience with different virtualization environments including KVM, OpenStack and AWS.

• Experience with troubleshooting Linux Environments operating systems

• Knowledge of at least one scripting language (Bash, Python, PowerShell, Perl etc.)

• Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, ArgoCD, etc.

• Knowledge of database cluster management and maintenance for PostgreSQL/Redis/CockroachDB

• SQL skills with writing and optimizing complex queries and analyzing execution plans

• Knowledge of industry standard protocols (TCP/IP, Apache, DNS, LDAP, etc.)

• Team player with strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.

• Focused on continuous improvement - always be looking for improvement, automation and optimization opportunities from the cloud

Bonus Experience

• Certification in CKA/CKS
• Certification in RHCE
• Certification in Openstack
• Certification in CCIE
• Knowledge of container management (Kubernetes, Helm etc.)
• Knowledge of DevOps tools (Jenkins, Docker, Git, Ansible, ArgoCD etc.)
• Experience in ISO27001

Educational Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science

The Canada base salary range for this full-time position is expected to be between $112,000 - $124,000 annually.  Wage ranges are based on various factors including the labour market, job type, and job level.  Exact salary offers will be determined by factors such as the candidate’s subject knowledge, skill level, qualifications, and experience.
