Our mission is simple: to build the financial infrastructure that expands access and opportunity for all. Whether you’re designing code, solving regulatory puzzles, or developing strategy, you’ll join a team where innovation and integrity drive everything we do — and where your work helps shape the future of finance.

What We're Looking For

We are seeking a dynamic Reporting Lead to drive our reporting and analytics function with an AI-first mindset. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with people leadership, owning the delivery of high-impact reporting solutions while managing a geographically dispersed team. The ideal candidate is a self-starter and quick learner who thrives in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment at Cross River Bank.

Responsibilities:

Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead a geographically dispersed reporting team, fostering collaboration across time zones and locations

  • Run all scrum ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, refinements) with discipline and purpose

  • Continuously improve team velocity, quality, and delivery predictability through data-driven coaching

  • Provide stretch assignments that grow individual capabilities and expand the team's collective skill set

  • Manage and enable competing stakeholders across CRB, balancing priorities with transparency and clear communication

  • Serve as the single point of accountability for reporting deliverables across business lines

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Project Support

  • Support projects and strategic initiatives by collaborating closely with Data Ambassadors to align reporting deliverables with business objectives

  • Balance and prioritize project/initiative work alongside BAU responsibilities, ensuring timely delivery across both

  • Partner with the Data Engineering team to ensure data availability and co-develop data marts that directly support reporting needs

  • Collaborate with Data Semantics and Intelligence to leverage correct data mappings, ensuring accurate KPIs in all developed reports and visualizations

AI-First Design & Innovation

  • Champion AI-first design principles in all reporting and analytics workflows

  • Leverage Claude Code and AI-assisted development to accelerate report creation, code generation, and data transformation

  • Identify and implement opportunities to automate manual reporting processes using AI tooling

  • Establish standards and best practices for integrating AI capabilities into the team's development lifecycle

Technical Delivery

  • Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Tableau, SSRS, and AWS Quick Suite

  • Implement and manage data integration processes using SSIS and modern ETL patterns

  • Write and optimize complex SQL; build procedures and functions in Snowflake

  • Migrate existing reports to new data sources while maintaining accuracy and functionality

  • Ensure data integrity and governance across all reporting platforms

  • Troubleshoot and resolve reporting issues with urgency

Operational Accountability

  • Own end-to-end accountability for critical, recurring business functions enabled by reporting — including monthly statement processing, regulatory filings, and scheduled data extracts

  • Ensure all production reporting processes have documented run books, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and support instructions maintained to current-state accuracy and made available to the Data Production Support team

  • Co-own with Data Production Support the definition and monitoring of SLAs for production report delivery, ensuring on-time execution and proactive communication of any delays or failures to impacted stakeholders

  • Co-own with Data Production Support a production reporting calendar that accounts for dependencies, blackout windows, and business-critical deadlines

  • Conduct periodic operational readiness reviews for new or migrated reports before promoting to production, including sign-off from the support team

  • Drive root cause analysis and implement permanent fixes for recurring production incidents, reducing mean time to resolution (MTTR)

  • Ensure business continuity planning for critical reporting functions, including backup procedures, failover processes, and disaster recovery documentation

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven experience leading reporting or BI teams in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong hands-on skills with Tableau, SSRS, and SSIS

  • Solid SQL programming expertise, including Snowflake procedures and functions

  • Familiarity with Claude Code or similar AI-assisted development tools

  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodology, including facilitating ceremonies

  • Knowledge of Athena, JIRA, and Confluence

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in financial services or a regulated industry

  • Familiarity with AWS Quick Suite, Power BI, or QlikView

  • Experience with conversational analytics or natural language query (NLQ) tools such as ThoughtSpot, Power BI Copilot, Tableau Pulse, or equivalent platforms that enable business-user self-service through AI-driven Q&A

Key Attributes:

  • Self-starter – Operates with minimal direction; identifies problems and drives solutions proactively

  • Quick learner – Rapidly absorbs new tools, technologies, and business domains

  • Stakeholder navigator – Diplomatically manages competing priorities across CRB's business units

  • Performance-obsessed – Relentlessly improves team output, quality, and morale

  • Detail-oriented – Maintains precision when working with complex datasets and governance requirements

  • Clear communicator – Translates technical concepts for non-technical audiences; communicates up, down, and across with equal effectiveness
