Job Description

Meet the Team

Product Operations, part of Supply Chain Operations (SCO), leads New Product Introduction (NPI) and Product Lifecycle Management from launch through End of Life (EOL). We work closely with Design Engineering early in development to ensure manufacturability, quality, and smooth production ramp-up. As part of this team, you’ll collaborate across functions and with Contract Manufacturers worldwide to bring innovative Cisco products to market efficiently and sustainably.

Your Impact

  • Contribute to mechanical engineering design and sustaining activities, occasionally leading projects of moderate scope.

  • Provide input on manufacturability, fulfillment, and design margins, resolving product-related design issues.

  • Support value engineering, cost avoidance, and cost reduction initiatives.

  • Perform lab experiments, analyze results, and review/maintain technical product documentation.

  • Partner with engineering and manufacturing teams to drive root cause analysis of quality issues.

  • Participate in sustainability-focused initiatives to enhance product lifecycle impact.

  • Collaborate across business units and product families to ensure design consistency and scalability.

  • Communicate technical concepts clearly, offering recommendations to improve product and process efficiency.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s/Graduate degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

  • 5+ years of hardware product design experience, preferably in NPI and manufacturing environments.

  • Knowledge of product design cycles, electro-mechanical manufacturing processes, and development workflows.

  • Proficiency with DFx methodologies and CAD tools.
