This position is for an experienced system engineer who can work in, and grow to lead, a multi-disciplinary team to develop, maintain, verify and communicate the architecture and requirements baseline for a mission that includes Segment, Element (payload, spacecraft bus, and ground) and/or Subsystems. You will work within your program teams alongside a team of specialty engineers through the program life cycle to develop, and manage requirements for, different specifications for various complex, high precision, and high reliability applications.
The Systems Engineering Department falls under the Engineering, Science and Analysis (ESA) Strategic Capabilities Unit which comprises the technical talent and organizational leadership that enables the successful delivery of high-impact discriminating technologies for our customers’ missions. What You’ll Do:
- Be part of a team of mission systems analysts that work collaboratively, using and developing a custom-built tool-suite, to characterize the mission performance of complex systems architectures.
- Work in and lead a multi-disciplinary team to develop, maintain, verify and communicate the requirements baseline for a mission that includes Segment, Element (payload, spacecraft bus, and ground) and/or Subsystems.
- Develop new tools and algorithms for mission systems modeling and data analysis.
