BAE Systems is seeking a talented Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) to join our Procurement Quality Support Engineering (PQSE) team in York, Pennsylvania. In this role as a Supplier Quality Engineer, you will use your expertise to ensure that every component meets rigorous standards. You will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our suppliers' products by primarily reviewing and approving First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR) and First Article Test (FAT) plans.
- Evaluate FAI and FAT plans/reports to ensure compliance with technical requirements and industry standards (AS9102 and performance specifications)
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely and accurate submission of FAI/FATs
- Work with internal teams and suppliers to resolve discrepancies and non-conformance issues
- Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and manufacturing data to assess FAI/FAT completeness and suitability
- Provide technical support and guidance on FAI/FAT processes to internal teams and suppliers
- Promote a "Zero Defect" mentality and A3 problem-solving practices within the supply base
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree with 2+ years of experience in creating, reviewing, or approving FAI/FATs;
