We’re searching for a talented Systems and Safety Engineer to make an impact on the verification of the autonomous vehicle (AV) sensing capabilities. In this role, you will have the opportunity to define and validate the sensing capabilities of the Aurora Driver to a level of super-human performance and safety. You will work with world-class engineers in Aurora Driver software teams to meet the ambitious product goals at Aurora while maintaining a high bar of safety as we expand across lanes, platforms, environments, and other technical challenges at large scale.
In this role you will
- Own the definition and allocation of requirements within a sensing capability, understanding impacts to interfacing modules, with appropriate decomposition and traceability
- Perform impact analysis that supports product expansion as it relates to requirements, coverage, and risk due to sensing capabilities
