We are looking for a highly motivated product design engineer. As a member of our collaborative, multi-functional design team, you will be responsible for conceiving, crafting, and producing exciting new products. You will work closely with US and Asia-based Product Designers and many other multi-functional groups, including Industrial Design, Hardware Engineering, Operations, and Reliability.
<h3>Minimum Qualifications</h3>BS/MS/Ph.D in Mechanical or Aerospace engineering.
Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals (beam bending, free body diagrams) and ability to creatively apply concepts to new problems not listed in engineering textbooks.
2D and 3D CAD software experience.
Experience using statistical tools and techniques for analytical problem solving.
Excellent communication skills in English and Mandarin.
<h3>Preferred Qualifications</h3>Experienced design engineer with technical leadership experience in consumer product development.
Skilled in working with Siemens NX or a similar CAD package.
Proficient in Design for Manufacturability (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), statistical tolerance analysis techniques (SPC), functional dimensioning, and geometric tolerancing (GD&T).
Broad range of design, materials, and processing knowledge for textiles, metals, soft polymers, and hard plastics.
Design validation skills: DFMEA, DOE, FEA, mechanical prototyping, and functional testing.
Experience working in a team environment across Asia and the US, with experience working with China-based factories.
