THE ROLE:
THE PERSON:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design and implement embedded firmware for PCIe and I/O subsystem IPs
- Define firmware architecture in collaboration with hardware and IP design teams
- Develop and validate firmware in pre-silicon environments (RTL simulation, emulation)
- Support post-silicon bring-up, debug, and performance optimization
- Debug complex HW/FW interactions and resolve system-level issues
- Contribute to firmware frameworks, abstraction layers, and reusable codebases
- Drive firmware development best practices, including reviews and test strategies
- Mentor junior engineers and support technical development across the team
- Collaborate across global teams supporting multiple concurrent SoC programs
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Strong embedded firmware development experience in C/C++ (assembly a plus)
- Hands-on experience with PCIe (root complex, endpoints, switches) or similar high-speed interfaces
- Solid understanding of HW/FW interfaces and low-level system architecture
- Experience with pre-silicon development (RTL simulation, emulation, or modeling)
- Familiarity with multi-core systems and Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS)
- Experience with hardware abstraction layers and scalable firmware design
- Exposure to test automation, scripting, or DevOps workflows
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments
- Experience with post-silicon validation and debug
- Interest or exposure to AI-driven development tools is a plus
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field preferred
