Job description

from Amazon careers
Are you an innovation leader who likes to use technology to improve the customer experience? Join us to make a real life-changing difference to how customers in Japan shop online. Over the past 20 years, Amazon has invented on behalf of the consumer and has become the largest internet retailer and marketplace in the world.
We are seeking a customer-obsessed Senior Product Manager to lead our Prime Member Engagement strategy in Japan. Amazon Prime's vision is to be the Earth’s largest and most beloved membership program. As a Product Manager, you will own end-to-end strategies that deepen member engagement, increase shopping frequency, and drive per-member spend growth. You will be the center of innovation for cross-program engagement, ensuring that the Prime flywheel reinforces daily usage across shopping, entertainment, and lifestyle programs.
The PM is responsible for building and launching capabilities that increase the value and engagement of Amazon Prime for millions of members in Japan. You will own the engagement roadmap, drive cross-program strategies that convert casual members into frequent shoppers, partner with retail and entertainment teams to reinforce the Prime flywheel, and establish mechanisms to track and grow per-member contribution. We expect this leader to be obsessed about customer needs, think big to bring new engagement experiences to members, and effectively collaborate with partners and stakeholders both locally and globally.
The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who is comfortable working in a highly ambiguous environment. We look for hands-on experience in customer facing product management, a proven track record of delivering results, and a highly effective leader in influencing across teams and varying levels of leadership.

Key job responsibilities
• Drive cross-benefit engagement strategies across shopping, entertainment, grocery, and loyalty programs
• Establish and lead cross-org mechanisms (e.g., business reviews) to align partner teams around member engagement goals
• Own the roadmap and vision for member engagement initiatives that drive shopping frequency and per-member spend
• Define and track engagement metrics, measure benefit adoption and usage, and identify opportunities to deepen member value
