AWS Professional Services is seeking a Cloud Architect to join our team in Taiwan. In this role, you will work directly with customers across Semiconductors, Hi-Tech, Manufacturing, Public Sector, and Financial Services (FSI) to design and implement transformative cloud solutions on AWS. You will serve as a trusted technical advisor, leading complex cloud architecture engagements from strategy through delivery, while mentoring teams and shaping best practices across the region.
Key job responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of complex, enterprise-scale cloud architectures for customers in Semiconductors, Hi-Tech, Manufacturing, Public Sector, and FSI industries
- Serve as a trusted technical advisor to C-level executives and senior technical stakeholders, translating business requirements into scalable cloud solutions
- Drive cloud adoption strategies including migration, modernization, data analytics, AI/ML, and hybrid architectures tailored to industry-specific needs
- Develop and deliver technical architectures, reference implementations, and proof-of-concepts that accelerate customer outcomes
- Mentor and guide junior architects, contributing to team development and raising the technical bar across engagements
- Collaborate with AWS service teams to influence product roadmaps based on customer feedback and industry trends
- Contribute to reusable assets, frameworks, and methodologies that scale ProServe's impact across the region
- Navigate regulatory, compliance, and data sovereignty requirements specific to Taiwan's public sector and financial services landscape

- 5+ years of hands-on experience designing and implementing solutions on AWS (or equivalent cloud platforms), including core services such as compute, storage, networking, databases, and security
- Demonstrated experience leading large-scale cloud transformation programs (migration, modernization, or greenfield) for enterprise customers in at least two of the following industries: Semiconductors, Hi-Tech, Manufacturing, Public Sector, or Financial Services
- Strong proficiency in infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD pipelines, containerization, serverless architectures, and modern application development patterns
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences; fluency in Mandarin Chinese and English (written and spoken) is required
- Familiarity with Taiwan's regulatory and compliance landscape, including requirements for public sector (government cloud) and financial services (FSC regulations, data residency)

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, or 7+ years of professional or military experience- 5+ years of hands-on experience designing and implementing solutions on AWS (or equivalent cloud platforms), including core services such as compute, storage, networking, databases, and security
- Demonstrated experience leading large-scale cloud transformation programs (migration, modernization, or greenfield) for enterprise customers in at least two of the following industries: Semiconductors, Hi-Tech, Manufacturing, Public Sector, or Financial Services
- Strong proficiency in infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD pipelines, containerization, serverless architectures, and modern application development patterns
