Amazon is looking for a Sr Financial Analyst to help lead and oversee critical functions within this rapidly growing organization.
This Sr Financial Analyst will be primarily responsible for partnering with the business, supporting decision-making, financial modeling, controllership, and operational cost controls. This role requires extensive cross-functional partnership with various retail, transportation, and finance teams to identify best practices across the network and lead cost improvement efforts for operations. The Sr Financial Analyst will also conduct variance analysis for monthly/quarterly business reviews, as well as execute ad hoc projects and analyses as needed.
Key job responsibilities
- Lead the financial planning process (fixed costs, variable costs, and CAPEX), including quarterly and annual business reviews, as well as closings and reporting;
- Establish partnerships across the organization, actively working as a business partner to drive improvement in financial and operational performance;
- Drive continuous standardization and simplification of planning and forecasting processes;
- Develop tools to drive better understanding of Brazil's performance;
- Build and analyze financial models to provide recommendations to senior leadership;
- Own the end-to-end process of an expanding operations chain at Amazon, leading strategic initiatives that support the accelerated growth of the fulfillment center network in Brazil.
- Experience applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses
- Experience working with stakeholders
- Experience in Excel with advanced proficiency (pivots, lookups, etc.)
- Experience in building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making
- Experience in multiple finance and accounting roles
- Speak, write, and read fluently in English
- Experience in financial planning, budgeting or reporting;
- Experience with Tableau, Python, SQB, Quicksight, Cognos or or other BI packages

- Experience in building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making
- Experience in multiple finance and accounting roles
- Speak, write, and read fluently in English
- Experience in financial planning, budgeting or reporting;
