Amazon Payments is seeking a high-energy Program Manager to lead transformative initiatives in our Latin America Payments Business Operations team. You'll manage end-to-end payment reconciliation across Brazil and Mexico, supporting billions in transactions across all payment processors while driving strategic improvements to our customer experience.

Key job responsibilities
* Oversee financial controllership, ensuring accuracy and compliance in financial reporting by collaborating with accounting and tax teams across Brazil and Mexico markets
* Lead, prioritize, and direct cross-functional teams to meet and improve key payments and finance metrics and SLAs while supporting billions in transaction volume
* Manage complex operational relationships with third-party payment partners across eight processors, ensuring contract adherence and system availability
* Drive the lifecycle of complex cross-functional programs focused on payment reconciliation automation and AI-powered systems implementation
* Develop and implement financial controls and risk management strategies to ensure regulatory and internal compliance while identifying operational gaps in new offerings
A day in the life
Your day-to-day involves analyzing real-time reconciliation metrics across Brazil and Mexico, identifying trends and anomalies in transaction matching. You'll collaborate with accounting teams to resolve complex financial discrepancies, then lead strategic discussions with payment partners about system enhancements. This role often involve working with engineering teams on automation initiatives, reviewing AI-powered matching algorithms, and presenting program updates to leadership. You'll also mentor team members while building roadmaps that drive customer experience improvements across our strategic initiatives pipeline.

The Latin American Payment Business Operations team oversees payment programs across LATAM markets, serving proprietary stores in Brazil and Mexico while enabling cross-border transactions in eight additional countries. Our team manages more than 20 partners and country-specific payment methods, building innovative solutions that enhance customer experiences aligned with regional strategies.
We're focused on implementing next-generation payment strategies through our Integration and Launches framework, supporting Digital Businesses operations and new business lines. Our collaborative culture emphasizes continuous learning and innovation as we work toward autonomous reconciliation systems that will transform how Amazon processes billions of secure transactions across Latin America.
- Experience with financial services, payments or e-commerce
- Experience working with global cross-functional teams
- Experience with advanced Excel, SQL, and MySQL
- Experience in identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan, or experience in building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making
- Experience working in e-commerce / retail / supply chain / financial services business
- Experience in Project/Program management
- Experience analyzing large datasets and translating them to actionable business insight
- Speak, write, and read fluently in English, and have the ability to take direction in English
- Experience in communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal in Portuguese & English
- Experience in creating process improvements with automation and analysis, or experience in solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits)
- Experience communicating and presenting to senior leadership
- Experience in English-language communication skills, both written and verbal
- Knowledge of tax implications for international payment transactions

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or above- Experience with financial services, payments or e-commerce
- Experience working with global cross-functional teams
- Experience with advanced Excel, SQL, and MySQL
