To thrive in this role, you must have an inventor’s spirit and a strong understanding of interaction design, with a passion for technology and innovation. You are able to work fast, handle several projects, and quickly translate customer needs into delightful solutions. You know how to present ideas professionally through a strategic and creative lens. You must be comfortable working with ambiguity and managing stakeholder inputs, functional requirements, and timelines. You have a solid understanding of conversation design fundamentals combined with a deep understanding of how to collaborate with conversation designers, UX designers, researchers, product management, engineering, science, and operational teams as you go from early-stage product concepts to launches of new features and experiences.
Key job responsibilities
- Create world-class, user-centered designs, informed by UX research, market research, behavioral data, and internal stakeholder feedback
- Work with Science and Editorial teams to help train the LLM to generate content that matches the intention of the designs
- Demonstrate leadership in driving design processes into the organization that help refine strategy
- Translate business requirements into use cases and high-level customer experience requirements
- Design the interface and interaction flow of new features, using Figma, other prototyping tools, and AI tooling for rapid idea generation
- Develop and maintain detailed design specifications
- Present design work to the user experience team, product team, engineering team, Amazon leadership, and external partners for review and feedback
- Develop high level strategy for customers for both near and long term
- Have an available online portfolio
- Experience with best practices for User Interface Design, Information Architecture, and Interaction Design
- Experience in life cycle design projects from design strategy through execution
- Experience prototyping with AI tools

Basic Qualifications
- 10+ years of design experience- Have an available online portfolio
- Experience with best practices for User Interface Design, Information Architecture, and Interaction Design
- Experience in life cycle design projects from design strategy through execution
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience providing and effectively communicating strategic and tactical recommendations based on data- Experience prototyping with AI tools
