Job description

from Amazon careers
Love to conceptualize and build products that control how millions of advertisers spend billions of dollars — in real-time, at global scale? Want to define the next generation of AI-powered budget optimization and billing experiences for Amazon Advertising? Interested in owning products that directly generate $100MM+ in incremental revenue, manage real-time budget enforcement across millions of campaigns, and are now evolving to leverage GenAI for intelligent automation? Then, the Iron Mountain platform team wants you!

Amazon Advertising is one of the fastest-growing businesses within Amazon, empowering Sellers, Vendors, Authors, and Publishers to boost product reach and sales through performance and display advertising. The Iron Mountain platform is the singular system that manages all advertiser billing, invoicing, accounting automation, real-time budgeting, promotions, payments, and Billing Advertiser Experience (AX) — processing multi-billion transactions worth 100x in dollar value daily, worldwide, across all ad products displayed On or Off Amazon.

Budgeting is a critical pillar of this platform — our real-time budget enforcement system manages spend pacing, daily/lifetime/portfolio budgets, and effective budget controls for advertisers like budget rules generating incremental revenue in million dollars. Budget decisions happen in sub-millisecond SLAs, to pause campaigns when they exceed allocated budget, how spend distributes across the day, and how over-delivery is minimized. The roadmap includes AI-driven budget optimization (dynamic ceilings, performance reports), DSP parity (bringing SA budgeting capabilities to demand side platform), and agentic billing experiences where AI agents interact with billing/budget systems on behalf of advertisers.

The Iron Mountain team is looking for a Senior Product Manager - Technical to own and drive the product vision for our budgeting, metering, and AI-powered billing capabilities. You will:

- Define product strategy for real-time budget enforcement serving millions of campaigns at sub-millisecond latency
- Own the roadmap for AI/GenAI-powered features — performance reporting, agentic billing interfaces, and intelligent automation that reduces advertiser manual effort
- Drive the platform that sources, stores, and supplies billions of clicks and impressions across multiple services — guaranteeing zero data loss, replay/re-drive capability, and five 9s reconciliation
- Shape the advertiser experience for Billing, Budgeting, Payments, and Promotions across both Sponsored Ads and DSP
- Partner with engineering to build globally scalable, distributed systems interacting with multiple ad-serving platforms, auction systems, and AI/ML pipelines
- Define success metrics, run experiments, and drive adoption for budget optimization products that directly impact Amazon's advertising revenue

To succeed, you will need deep expertise in high-performance distributed systems, real-time data processing, and product management for large-scale platforms — combined with a forward-looking perspective on how AI/GenAI transforms financial and budget management experiences.

Key job responsibilities
Product Vision & Strategy: Own the product vision for real-time budget enforcement, billing automation, and AI-powered advertiser experiences. Translate market trends (GenAI, agentic interfaces, DV360/Meta parity) into a prioritized roadmap tied to revenue growth and advertiser satisfaction.

Customer Obsession: Work backwards from advertiser pain points across segments (SMB, enterprise, agencies). Partner with LCS, GGS, and Sales to identify how budget controls, billing transparency, and AI automation unlock spend and reduce friction.

AI/GenAI Product Definition: Define how GenAI transforms billing and budgeting — intelligent budget recommendations, agentic billing interfaces, AI-driven anomaly detection. Own product formulation: data needs, guardrails, accuracy measurement.

Requirements & Prioritization: Translate ambiguous cross-functional problems into crisp requirements with clear success criteria. Ruthlessly prioritize across revenue features, parity asks, OE improvements, and compliance mandates.

Execution & Delivery: Drive end-to-end development from concept through launch — milestones, scope tradeoffs, cross-team coordination (SPB, Auction, MADS, Ads Fabric), experimentation design, and phased rollout.

Metrics & Impact: Define KPIs connecting launches to business outcomes (incremental revenue, budget utilization, over-delivery, adoption). Adjust strategy based on data.

Technical Judgment: Develop sufficient depth in distributed systems and ML pipelines to challenge proposals, spot feasibility risks, and make informed build/buy/partner decisions.
