from Amazon careersThe Capacity Planning Manager for Hub Delivery is responsible for developing and executing capacity planning strategies across short, medium, and long-term horizons. This role ensures the delivery network is properly sized to meet operational demand while maintaining service quality and cost efficiency. The manager serves as the primary liaison between hub operations and AMZL (Amazon Last Mile Logistics) capacity teams, ensuring accurate, timely, and actionable communication across all planning cycles.

Develop and own the Short-Term Plan (STP), Mid-Term Plan (MTP), and Long-Term Plan (LTP) for hub delivery capacity, aligning with network growth projections and business targets
Translate demand forecasts into actionable capacity requirements across people, space, equipment, and transportation assets
Identify capacity gaps and surpluses across planning horizons and propose mitigation strategies
Build and maintain planning models that support scenario analysis and sensitivity testing
Network Communication & Alignment
Serve as the primary point of contact between hub delivery operations and AMZL capacity teams
Ensure structured, consistent, and timely communication of capacity plans, risks, and assumptions to all relevant stakeholders
Lead capacity review meetings and planning forums with cross-functional teams
Develop standardized reporting frameworks and dashboards to track capacity utilization and planning accuracy
Operational Excellence
Monitor actual vs. planned capacity performance and drive root cause analysis for deviations
Partner with operations, engineering, and finance teams to align capacity investments with business priorities
Support network expansion projects by providing capacity modeling and feasibility assessments
Identify opportunities to improve planning processes, tools, and methodologies
Stakeholder Management & Leadership
Influence senior leadership decisions through data-driven capacity insights and recommendations
Collaborate with finance to ensure capacity plans are reflected in budget and headcount planning cycles
Lead and develop a team of capacity analysts, fostering a culture of analytical rigor and continuous improvement
Build scalable best practices that can be replicated across the broader delivery network.
