As a senior software engineer in the Alexa Devices team, you will help drive innovation by developing features that present innovative speech-backed visuals on our Echo Show, Echo Spot, and similar screened Alexa devices.
Specifically, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining new systems, partnering with other Amazon and third-party services and device teams as required. You will ensure that Alexa almost never drops her end of the conversation, delivering services that respond with minimal latency at Amazon scale. Basic Qualifications
- 4+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience- 4+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
Preferred Qualifications
- 4+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
