Amazon is seeking a self-motivated and high-judgment communications professional to join its Policy Communications and External Affairs team. The team is at the forefront of shaping communications around the most advanced technologies on the planet, helping to advocate for policies that enable customer innovation and demonstrating the positive impact that our investments bring to the places where we operate. This role will drive communications efforts at the national level and in our data center regions across the US, helping raise awareness among key media, third-party partners, and local policy stakeholders about Amazon’s policy priorities, advocacy initiatives, and positive impact on customers, industries, and communities. The ideal candidate has strong media relations and strategic communications experience, especially securing agenda-setting stories with Tier 1 national media. They excel at translating complex technology concepts into clear, compelling narratives, and brings a background in supporting public policy initiatives. They will have a proven track record of working effectively internally across complex, cross-functional teams and externally with policymakers, businesses and suppliers, in a fast-paced environment while delivering impactful results.
