The RISC team's charter is to protect Amazon customers from products that are illegal, illegally marketed, unsafe, or otherwise prohibited by Amazon policies. In this role, you will work closely with legal, business teams, selling partner experience and support teams, operational excellence, product, BI and data science/engineering teams to deliver high-impact end-to-end safety and compliance solutions. Think of this role as a non-technical "solution architect" where you will be given autonomy to develop a strategy and build effective policy enforcements to ensure product safety and compliance worldwide.
The Senior Risk Manager drives the development and implementation of new tools and programs that advance the store's global safety and compliance efforts. This role requires influencing cross-functional stakeholders, planning strategic projects with legal and business partners, securing team commitments, and developing daily, weekly, and monthly metrics while ensuring compliance with Amazon quality standards and regulatory program expectations.
Key job responsibilities
Conducting risk assessments for existing processes and new product launches and recommending risk mitigation measures such as process improvements, training initiatives, and strategic interventions.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Experience in compliance, audit or risk management
- Speak, write, and read fluently in English
- Experience leveraging technology and implementing lean principles / Six Sigma methodologies to drive process improvements or equivalent
- Master's degree or equivalent

Basic Qualifications
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications at an advanced level- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Experience in compliance, audit or risk management
- Speak, write, and read fluently in English
Preferred Qualifications
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification- Experience leveraging technology and implementing lean principles / Six Sigma methodologies to drive process improvements or equivalent
- Master's degree or equivalent
