Job description
from Amazon careersAmazon's Legal Department is looking for a talented attorney to help support Amazon’s internal technology sourcing teams and other IT teams. This position is on the Products Legal team within Amazon Web Services.
In this role, you'll support strategic enterprise-wide technology deals for tools and services used by global Amazonians, including emerging technologies like AI tools. You will develop strategies for handling legal issues in creative, business-centric ways, and you will build processes that address risk and allow the business to innovate and scale quickly.
The successful candidate will be inquisitive, enthusiastic about technology, enjoy working hard and being continually challenged, and demonstrate sound judgment even in ambiguous situations. Developing innovative solutions to novel legal questions is part of our daily business.
Key job responsibilities
- Reviewing, drafting and negotiating agreements (including hosted services agreements, software licensing agreements, professional services agreements, and other commercial contracts);
- Partnering with the business to develop and launch products and services Amazon employees use and depend on; and
- Identifying legal risks and proposing mitigation strategies, and overseeing privacy, regulatory and contractual compliance.
