Job description

from Amazon careers
Our goal is to exceed the expectations of all our customers by ensuring that their orders, no matter how large or small are delivered where and when they need them, as quickly, accurately, and cost effectively as possible. To meet this goal, Amazon is continually striving to innovate and provide best in class experience through the introduction of pioneering new products and services in the last mile space. To meet this goal, we're rapidly scaling the Delivery Service Partner (DSP) program, where we partner with a community of owner operators who run small and mid-sized delivery businesses that provide best in class delivery experiences to our customers. Come join the team that builds the technology products that positively impact the lives of thousands of Amazon Delivery Service Partners and their drivers around the world.

The Senior Product Manager, Tech is responsible for leading the technical product roadmap for the Last Mile Work Planning product suite that empowers DSPs to successfully plan, schedule, and manage their delivery operations. The team owns DSP capacity management and scheduling workflows on the DSP Portal, enabling DSPs to view their planned routes and meet these plans by scheduling driver shifts. The team's mission is to provide a seamless capacity planning experience for DSPs through transparent and adaptive tool sets that customize the planning process. A successful candidate will be highly analytical, resourceful, customer-focused, team oriented, and will have an ability to work independently under time constraints to meet deadlines. The candidate will have a proven track record in taking on end-to-end ownership and successfully delivering technical products in a fast-paced and dynamic business environment.

Key job responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for all parts of the product journey, starting with understanding customer needs through multiple feedback mechanisms. As a seasoned technical product manager, you will add structure to ambiguity by maturely driving clarity while exercising good judgement. You will build a compelling vision and roadmap and partner closely with business partners, while communicating efficiently and effectively through superb verbal/written skills.

You will promote an innovative product process by designing scalable technical solutions to solve pain points for a rapidly growing global DSP community. Critical to your success will be partnering with technical teams by bringing crisp, clear requirements to engineers and fully engaging in technical discussions. After launching products, you will measure impact through product experimentation and data analysis. Along the way, you will anticipate and solve problems typical of a fast-paced environment, maintain stakeholder alignment, pay attention to details, and demonstrate end-to-end ownership. You will balance strategic execution with the ability to roll up your sleeves to get the job done.
