Key job responsibilities
This role is within the ISV team in Amazon Web Services India (AWS India) and can be based out of Bangalore, Delhi, Mumbai, Pune and Hyderabad locations.

As a Solutions Architect, you’ll help your customers plan their successful cloud journey leveraging emerging technologies like GenAI to achieve business outcomes. You’ll solve complex, technical challenges so your customers can focus on their business. This includes using your knowledge to craft scalable, flexible, and resilient cloud architectures. You’ll drive or take part in technical solutions discussions, diving deep into the details with customer teams.

Building relationships to understand our customers and partners is key. As a trusted technical advisor, you’ll use your interpersonal skills to influence a variety of stakeholders from technical teams to executives. You’ll help ensure their short-term technology decisions are aligned with their long-term goals. Speeding up the adoption of our services will be part of your day to day.

You’ll also act as thought leader in the wider community. This includes taking part in educating, sharing best practices, presenting at events, writing white papers, blogs, and running workshops. You won’t just be part of an industry movement; you’ll be leading it.

As a customer obsessed advisor, you’ll also have the chance to shape the direction of our products and services. This is through gathering feedback from customers whilst collaborating with our engineering and service teams.

To be successful in this role you need to be passionate about ISV and cloud architectures. You are a builder with genuine curiosity about how technology can support your customers’ business models and objectives.

A day in the life
The Solutions Architect team at AWS is responsible for helping customers successfully implement cloud technologies. In a typical week you will meet multiple customers, and you will collaborate with them on designing and operating well-architected solutions. You will earn their trust and show them the art of the possible, educating them around the capabilities of AWS. Partnering with internal teams and experts, leveraging a deep knowledge of our tools and products, you’ll craft highly scalable, flexible, and resilient cloud architectures that address our customers’ business problems. As part of our team, you’ll have the opportunity to continuously learn and innovate daily.

About the team
ISV Solutions Architects work hand in hand with AWS customers to help drive AWS services adoption. They are at the crossroads of business and technology and engage with customers of different stages. Supporting the overall technical relationship between customers and AWS, they work to understand the customer's business needs and give prescriptive guidance on how to create business value with technology. Solutions Architects also have broader impact at scale, taking a supporting role in creating and presenting technical content and best practices.

You will be part of a team that is responsible for driving adoption of AWS technologies while bringing differentiated value to customers. This is a team dedicated to ISV customers, an important and growing subset of customers for AWS India. ISV customers follow unique technology adoption patterns and growth trajectories that distinguish them from traditional businesses, so you will be employing engagement strategies and programs tailored to their business needs and technical preferences.

Basic Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree
- Experience in design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures
- Experience as a technical account nanager, consultant, solutions architect, platform engineer, systems engineer, cloud architect or in a similar role
- Experience in specific technology domain areas like software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data and analytics
- 4+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
- Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems, or experience in computer architecture
- Experience communicating clearly and concisely with leadership, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams
- Can create proof of concepts, demos, and/or scripts from scratch or leveraging reusable components.
- Able to create technical content that is easily adopted and reusable by others.

Preferred Qualifications

- Knowledge of AWS services
- Experience architecting, migrating, transforming or modernizing customer requirements to the cloud
- Experience architecting/operating solutions built on AWS
- Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud
- AWS certification, such as, AWS Solutions Architect, or a similar cloud certification
- Able to present to technical and business audiences (training, workshops, publications)
- 4 years’ experience as a Solution Architect or related role.
