You'll be working on the challenges that sit at the heart of modern business. No matter your role, the work you do will help organizations move faster, see more clearly, and tackle questions that used to feel impossible.

If you're ready to meet the moment with innovation, curiosity, and excellence, there's a place for you here.

At Alteryx, we put data and AI to work for the intelligent enterprise. Alteryx One connects data, governed business logic, and AI-driven insights and actions in a scalable platform.
We’re looking for a Senior Technical Program Manager to drive foundational platform services programs that help make this vision enterprise-ready.

In this role, you will lead platform initiatives across product, engineering, infrastructure, security and SRE. You will bring structure to complex programs by clarifying scope, sequencing dependencies, managing risks, and keeping teams aligned on outcomes.

This role is ideal for someone who combines strong technical depth with excellent program leadership, can bring clarity to ambiguous problem spaces, and knows how to drive momentum across many stakeholders without losing sight of customer value, engineering quality, or business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and Own end-to-end delivery of complex, cross-team platform initiatives, ensuring alignment to company goals, architectural direction, and committed milestones.
  • Partner with engineering, product, architecture, security, SRE, and infrastructure teams to define scope, execution plans, dependencies, risks, and launch readiness criteria.
  • Drive programs in areas such as Workspace Execution, platform runtime and orchestration, private and shared data planes, cloud and hybrid execution capabilities, service-to-service trust, enterprise administration, and cloud adoption.
  • Lead planning, scrum of scrums, demos, retrospectives, dependency reviews, and risk forums that create visibility and drive decisions.
  • Build and maintain clear program artifacts including roadmaps, dashboards, RAID logs, dependency maps, status updates, and executive-ready communications in JIRA, Confluence, and related tools.
  • Translate technical discovery and architectural decisions into realistic execution plans across design, development, testing, rollout, and adoption measurement.
  • Monitor delivery and operational success metrics, including milestone attainment, release readiness, service health, quality signals, and adoption outcomes.
  • Support engineering trust initiatives that improve reliability, security, compliance, performance, cost visibility, and engineering productivity.
  • Champion delivery best practices and mentor other TPMs to scale strong execution across Alteryx.

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in technical program management, engineering program management, or complex software delivery in cloud or platform-focused environments.
  • Proven track record leading large cross-functional initiatives across multiple engineering teams, especially where architecture, infrastructure, security, and product delivery intersect.
  • Strong understanding of modern cloud platform concepts, including distributed systems, microservices, APIs, identity and access management, observability, networking, and infrastructure-as-code.
  • Experience delivering platform, execution, enterprise SaaS, compliance, or trust-focused programs in partnership with Trust, Security, GRC, SRE, or Infrastructure teams.
  • Strong proficiency in Agile frameworks and software development lifecycle practices, with the judgment to adapt process to team and program needs.
  • Expertise in JIRA, Confluence, and related planning and reporting tools.
  • Ability to manage ambiguity, create structure in evolving problem spaces, and drive alignment across technical and leadership stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to tailor updates for engineers, senior leaders, and cross-functional partners.
  • Strong facilitation, relationship-building, and influencing skills, with a bias toward action and a track record of unblocking teams.
  • Experience using AI tools productively to improve planning, communication, analysis, or execution workflows.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with identity and trust concepts such as service principals, delegation or token-based auth patterns, Zero Trust principles, RBAC, and auditability.
  • Experience in enterprise SaaS, analytics platforms, data platforms, or AI-enabled product environments.
  • Familiarity with V2MOM planning and reporting.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
  • Program management certifications such as PMP, Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), or SAFe are a plus; relevant technical certifications in cloud, security, or compliance are also beneficial.
