Job description
from Adobe careersThe Scale You’ll Work At
Every morning, billions of people wake up and interact with the world through screens — browsing, shopping, streaming, deciding. Behind a remarkable number of those moments is an Adobe product. Not in a passive way. Adobe’s technology is actively shaping what gets shown, when, to whom, and why.
Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) is the infrastructure that makes that possible at enterprise scale. It is a real-time customer data platform that ingests, unifies, and activates petabytes of behavioral, transactional, and identity data across the world’s largest brands. Think sub-second latency, 360-degree customer profiles built on the fly, live data governance, and machine learning pipelines — all running across a multi-cloud, multi-region architecture serving thousands of enterprise customers simultaneously.
This is not a greenfield side project. AEP is a production system at scale, and the Bucharest engineering team is a full, first-class part of building it.
What You’ll Work On
You will be a Senior Backend Engineer on a product team that owns specific AEP services end-to-end — from architecture decisions through deployment, monitoring, and iteration in production.
Design and build Java-based backend services and microservices, handling high-throughput, low-latency data pipelines at scale.
Drive technical decisions — system design, data modelling, API contracts, resiliency patterns — with the confidence to advocate for the right solution and the judgment to know when to compromise.
