Job Description

How you'll contribute:

We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Engineer to join our Edge team at SUSE. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of infrastructure, networking technologies, and Kubernetes-based platforms, and be able to work independently and as part of a team to develop SUSE's edge infrastructure solutions.

• Design and implement software solutions for use-cases within SUSE's Edge infrastructure platform

• Develop and debug complex systems spanning multiple projects and upstream communities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align technology roadmaps with business requirements

• Participate in evaluating new technologies and innovations for integration into the architecture

• Contribute to open-source communities relevant to Edge and telco infrastructure

• Troubleshoot complex issues in distributed systems and networking components

What you'll bring:

• Experience in edge infrastructure and workloads

• Strong understanding of networking technologies, including NFV and network acceleration techniques

• Knowledge of Kubernetes, Golang, Cluster API and related projects

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Broad experience with Linux operating system development and performance tuning

• History of successful contributions to large-scale software projects

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent

• Relevant industry experience

• Experience with open-source software development and community engagement
