Our role at SIE is to create and nurture the experiences under the PlayStation brand, a name synonymous with entertainment excellence and creativity.

The role

We are looking for an experienced Graphics engineer with experience in real time computer graphics or games to design and implement high-quality, game-like rendering scenarios to evaluate and showcase new graphics features.

  • Collaborate with platform, tools, and studio teams worldwide to drive adoption and guidelines.
  • Influence graphics feature design through hands-on prototyping and performance analysis.
  • Contribute to clear, maintainable, developer-facing code and documentation.

What we’re looking for:

  • Strong C/C++ with experience in game/game-engine development ( e.g. memory management, task management)
  • Strong real-time rendering experience, ideally with PlayStation 5 graphics APIs or comparable low-level console/modern graphics APIs.
  • Good understanding of GPU architecture and rendering pipelines.
  • Proficiency in HLSL (Shader Model 6) and modern shader development practices.
  • Strong debugging and performance analysis skills (CPU/GPU).
  • Excellent collaboration skills, comfortable working with globally distributed teams.
  • Working experience in development practices such as SCRUM and use of collaborative source control features in GitHub.
  • Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or equivalent experience in the industry.

Nice to haves:

  • Experience with global illumination, ray tracing, or advanced lighting techniques.
  • Experience creating or editing game engines
  • Experience building developer-facing samples, tools, or user documentation.
  • An open source body of work in GitHub or similar.

Benefits:

  • Discretionary bonus opportunity
  • Hybrid Working (within Flexmodes)
  • Private Medical Insurance
  • Dental Scheme
  • 25 days holiday per year
  • On Site Gym
  • Subsidised Café
  • Free soft drinks
