from Red Hat careersThe Red Hat Sales team is looking for an Sales Account Manager to drive growth and customer success within assigned Red Hat accounts. In this role, you will take ownership of key customers, developing and executing account strategies that align Red Hat’s open hybrid cloud solutions with their business and technology priorities.
You will engage directly with customers to identify opportunities for expansion—through up-sell, cross-sell, renewals, and new business development—while collaborating with internal specialists and partners to deliver complete, value-driven solutions.
What you will do
Develop and execute account plans to achieve or exceed sales targets within assigned territory or customer segments.
Engage key customer stakeholders, from technical teams to business decision makers, to understand their goals and position Red Hat solutions that address their needs.
Drive the full sales cycle, from lead qualification through proposal, negotiation, and close, ensuring a positive customer experience throughout.
Identify and expand opportunities across Red Hat’s product portfolio, including Linux, OpenShift, and Ansible, driving both new and renewal business.
Maintain accurate pipeline management and forecasting in the CRM system, following MEDDPICC and other Red Hat sales best practices.
Collaborate closely with internal teams—including Solution Architects, Product Specialists, Partner Sales, and Deal Management—to structure and deliver winning solutions.
