Job description
from Red Hat careersJob summary:
The Red Hat OpenShift Virtualization QE (Infra) team is looking for an Intern with an interest in test automation and platform engineering to join us in Israel. In this role, you will contribute to the reliability and scalability of our automated test suite for OpenShift Virtualization and work with engineers who maintain CI pipelines, shared libraries, and test environments on OpenShift. You’ll help extend and maintain Python-based tests and utilities, participate in troubleshooting failures, and support improvements to how we run and observe tests in continuous integration. As an Intern, you’ll write and refine automated tests and helpers, engage with code review and team processes, and develop a practical understanding of virtualization and cloud-native workflows on Kubernetes. This long-term internship will give you the opportunity to gain hands-on experience with enterprise-quality engineering practices, to learn how large open-source test suites are structured and maintained, and to work on real infrastructure that supports Red Hat’s OpenShift Virtualization product.
What you will do:
Participate in design, implementation, and maintenance of automated tests and shared test utilities in Python (pytest) and Golang (Ginkgo).
Work on CI-related tasks: understanding test failures, improving stability of jobs, and contributing to quality gates (linting, typing, and test runs as applicable).
