Storage & Backup Administrator III

Role Overview
As the backup administrator, you will be responsible for backup operations, continual service improvement and vendor coordination. Your goal will be to maintain a highly available, reliable, secure, and efficient backup environment for internal customers.

Key Responsibilities
•    Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of data protection services: Backup & Recovery, Solution Design, Implementation, and Migrations.
•    Maintain and enhance backup environments to meet performance, availability, and compliance standards.
•    Manage installation, configuration, and upgrades of backup software and hardware.
•    Work extensively with Commvault, Veritas NetBackup, Cohesity, and related backup solutions.
•    Manage and troubleshoot backups for applications including Oracle, MS-SQL, MySQL, MS-Exchange, VMware, NDMP etc.
•    Utilize scripting skills to automate recurring backup and recovery tasks.
•    Develop automated backup and recovery solutions using scripts or third-party tools.
•    Operate in alignment with ITIL/ITSM processes: Incident, Change, Problem, and Configuration Management.
•    Ensure compliance with audit requirements and backup/recovery process documentation.

Preferred Qualifications
•    Proven expertise in Commvault, Rubrik and Cohesity.
•    Relevant certifications in storage technologies (Commvault, Cohesity preferred).
•    Experience in ITIL-based environments or similar operational frameworks.

•    Experience in ITIL Service Design.
•    Development and maintenance of solution roadmaps.
•    Involvement in defining backup/recovery processes and audit support.
